Earthe & tokenisation

Turning clean water delivered into traceable, verified social value.

The idea

Real projects back real tokens

Earthe issues social-value tokens backed by real projects. For example, Earthe can issue one token for every litre of free drinking water delivered in Africa. Apex Grove boreholes are exactly the kind of projects that generate them.

Earthe connects brands and consumers through rewards. Brands offer incentives on everyday spending, and consumers choose which verified projects their reward supports.

How Earthe tokens work

From borehole to token

  1. Projects deliver outcomes
Real projects, such as boreholes supplying clean water, produce measurable results.
  2. Measured at source
Earthe meters outcomes at source, using water flow and energy readings with remote monitoring.
  3. Independently verified
Evidence is linked to each unit through independent verification and audit logs.
  4. Tokens are created
Verified outcomes become serialised Earthe Tokens that are auditable and can be retired.
  5. No double counting
Tokens are logged on a blockchain, so the same outcome can't be counted twice.

Focus on the S in ESG

Earthe Tokens span nine outcome categories, with a rare focus on social outcomes: clean water, community, health and infrastructure.

Clean water in Africa

Earthe states it holds exclusive rights in Africa to generate tokens for clean drinkable water and community Wi-Fi.

Why it matters for clients

Boreholes deliver water where it's needed. Through Earthe, the clean water they deliver can also be measured and recorded as verified social value.
